- TO PROCURE A TEST REPORT IN SUPPORT OF THE BALLISTIC IMPACT MODELING OF SHATTER-GAP IN STEEL ARMOR RESEARCH. THE VENDOR WILL PROVIDE A REPORT ON THE ACCURACY OF THE SVD (OR EQUIVALENT SNIPER RIFLE) FIRING THE 7.62 X 54R ROUND AT DISTANCES FROM 00 METERS TO 1000 METERS. SIC Code 8299 NAICS Code 611699, Size Standard $6,500,000. This is a Sole Source procurement synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of A Test report in support of the ballistic impact modeling of shatter-gap in steel armor research. The vendor will provide a report on the accuracy of the SVD (or equivalent sniper rifle) firing the 7.62x54R round at distances from 100 meters to 1000 meters. This information is critical for evaluating the effectiveness of the proposed research in the Ballistic Impact Modeling of Shatter-gap in Steel Armor work being conducted. The proposed source is: Storm Mountain Training Center (SMTC). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
