Description

USPTO intends to award as a sole source dedicated technician Service to Avaya Communications. The system is a Legend/Intuity System manufactured by Avaya (formerly AT&T). The system includes a small PBX switch and a voice mail system. It is an old system, therefore,it no longer manufactured or commonly supported. However, the system requires specific knowledge and expertise for programming, operating, and maintaining the system. Dedicated technician shall be available from 8/1/2008 to 3/31/2009 from 8 to 5 Monday thru Friday. Avaya has kept one technician trained to service this system. The base period is 8 months and there are four one month options. This is a follow on requirement. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 7/14/2008 10:00 a.m. EST. Such capablities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort in a full and open manner, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
