- Description
- This solicitation is being advertised as a competitive Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. This solicitation is restricted to SDVOSB firms and invites all qualified SDVOSB firms to submit bids. This project is designated as a swing project, which may be awarded in Fiscal Year (FY) 2008 or 2009 dependant upon the availability of funds. The NAICS Code is 236220 and the corresponding size standard is $31.0M average annual receipts over the last three years. The proposed scope of work includes but is not limited to all labor, supervision, tools, materials and equipment necessary for the removal of materials with asbestos, lead-containing paint, PCBs and mercury, masonry, steel, blanket insulation, aluminum roof and wall panels and flashing, roof ventilators, FRP doors and frames, overhead coiling doors, aluminum windows, skylights, metal wall louvers, gypsum wallboard, ceramic tile, acoustical ceilings, painting, signage, toilet partitions and accessories, fire sprinkler systems, plumbing, ductwork and ventilation, electrical work, fire alarm, and miscellaneous incidental related work. The Government intends to issue the Invitation For Bids (IFB) on or about July 31, 2008 and intends to hold a one-time site visit approximately two weeks thereafter. Additional information will be provide upon issuance of the solicitation. The magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The IFB (available in CD-ROM) will be available on or about July 31, 2008. The request for CD-ROM may be sent via electronic mail to lillian.quintanilla@navy.mil. The request shall include company name, mailing address, telephone number, facsimile number, Solicitation No. and project title. Please indicate if you are a prime, subcontractor, or supplier. All request will be sent via U. S. mail or may be picked up at Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Hawaii (NAVFAC Hawaii), Building A-13, Radford Drive. Allow at least 10 days for mailing from the date of your request is received. Failure to provide any of the above information may delay the processing of your request. All notices and Amendments will be posted at the following websites https://www.neco.navy.mil or https://www.fbo.gov for downloading. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments, therefore it is the Bidders/Offeror's responsbility to check the web site periodically for any amendments or notices to this solicitation.
