Description

The United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to issue a purchase order to Fairbanks Morse Engine for two (2) Fairbanks Morse Engine overhaul and modification on USCGC Mobile Bay (WTGB-103). The Coast Guard believes this is the only one responsible source, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Fairbanks Morse Engine is the only company that has the technical propriety data necessary to provide the required parts. The requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR Part13. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within 5 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement.
