Description
U.S. Army Joint Munitions and Lethality Command, Joint Armament ContractingCenter, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J is conducting a Sources Sought survey to locate potential sources for disconnecting and disassembling existing explosives loading, casting, mixing, and aging equipment located in buildings 230, 232, 234, and 235 at Picatinny Arsenal. This will also require moving and integrating all the equipment into the new Explosive Research and Development Loading Facility (ERDLF). The contractor must familiarize themselves with existing, one of a kind, explosion proof process equipment consisting of 1 liter, 1.5 gallon, 7.5, 10, and 25 gallon melt kettles, LSGT vacuum loading carts, conditioning oven, shell and tube heat exchangers, Allen Bradley control cabinets, B&P mixer, chilling unit, vacuum systems, hydrostatic drive motor, explosion proof cameras, 10 and 25 liter mixers, lab hoods, explosion proof drying and curing ovens as well as all auxiliary equipment. The contractor must also warranty their work as moving existing equipment will void existing warranty to vacuum pumps, 25 liter mixer and auxiliary equipment (i.e. heat exchangers, chillers, Allen Bradley control panel). This action will also require contractor knowledge of working in the unique explosion proof environments of NEC Class 1 Group D and Class 2 Division 1 Group E, F, and G and familiarity with DAPAM 385-100, NJDEP Regulations, and DAPAM 385-64. Interested sources capable of supplying this type of service are requested to submit their companys name, address, point of contact with telephone number, email address, size of business (small/large), and country represented via email to carol.yanavok@us.army.mil. For technical related questions please contact the Technical point of contact Mr. Rafael Acevedo at 973-724-3796. This is not a request for proposal, this is only a request for a two page narritive of your firms capabilities in this area. Please submit interest by 17 July 2008.
