- REPLACES PREVIOUS SOLICITATION NO. RFP080060. The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is seeking a contractor to install an Emergency Generator System in the Russell Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C. The work includes the construction of an underground vault with a connector to the Russell Senate Office Building, Switchgear Room B. This work includes, but is not limited to, all lighting, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, plumbing and ventilation necessary for the function of the vault and connector. The vault requires a complete exterior waterproofing system. The work also includes installing two 1250 kVA Emergency Generators and construction provisions for a third generator. Includes the generator paralleling switchgear, load bank switch and all appropriate conduits, wiring and other equipment for a complete and functioning emergency generator system. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 10, 2008. The due date for receipt of proposals will be on or about August 10, 2008. The solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTRONIC VERSION AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR ALL CHANGES!! The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
