- 1. Organist and Director of Music for the Protest Service of Worship. Director must be available to perform services on weekends, weekday evenings, and holidays as required. Must be able to direct and play required musical instruments according to professional standards. Individuals must have a minimum of ten years experience in a Christian worship service setting, performing with organ and piano, both solo and in accompaniment with choral and/or other musical instruments. Must be able to transpose music as well as play most hymns found in the accepted service hymnal at first sight while maintaining an appropriate tempo, rhythm, and registration at the organ. Must be able to play acceptable prelude, postlude music, and accompany soloists, ensembles, and choirs. Organist must be able to transpose hymns with few accidentals, and without using the modulator dial on the organ. Organist must be able to direct two, three and four part choir pieces for mixed voices using generally acceptable standard professional directorial practices. Organist must be certified with the American Guild of Organists. Must be able to sight read and play Bach Chorales. The director is responsible for the selection of all the worship and choir music in consultation with the chaplain. This position requires approximately 186 program units that include: Sunday Worship, Choir Rehearsals, Holy Days, Special Rehearsals, Selecting Music, Preparing flyers, ordering music, attending Chapel Council Meetings, and Coordinating Music Program. 2. Director of Music and Organist for the Catholic Services of Worship. The director must be available to perform services on weekends, weekday evenings, and holidays as required. Must be able to direct and play piano/keyboard/organ according to professional standards. Director must have experience in a Christian worship service setting, performing with organ and piano, both solo and in accompaniment with choral and/or other musical instruments. Music selections will conform to the GIRM (General Instruction for the Roman Catholic Mass). Musical selections will be made in coordination with the Pastoral team and with the Praise and Worship Standing Committee of the Pastoral Council. Selections will be made from the broadest range of musical styles inside this norm. This position requires approximately 315 program units that include: Saturday Evening and Sunday Worship, Choir Rehearsals, Holy Days, Special Rehearsals, Selecting Music, Preparing flyers, ordering music, attending Chapel Council Meetings, and Coordinating Music Program. 3. Pianist/organist for the Catholic Services of Worship. The Pianist must be available to perform services on weekends, weekday evenings, and holidays as required. Pianist must be able to play the required musical instruments according to professional standards and have experience in a Christian worship service setting, performing with organ and piano, both solo and in accompaniment with choral and/or other musical instruments. Must be able to transpose music as well as play most hymns found in the accepted service hymnal at first sight while maintaining an appropriate tempo, rhythm, and registration at the organ. Must be able to play acceptable prelude and postlude music, accompany soloists, ensembles, and choirs. Pianist must be able to transpose music with few accidentals, without using the modulator dial on the organ. The contractor is responsible for selecting and coordinating all the music for the worship service in consultation with the chaplain. Music selections will conform to the GIRM (General Instruction for the Roman Catholic Mass). Selections will be made from the broadest range of musical styles inside this norm. This position requires approximately 212 program units that include: Saturday Evening and Sunday Worship, Children and Adult Choir Rehearsals, Holy Days, Special Rehearsals, Funerals, Selecting Music, Preparing flyers, ordering music, attending Chapel Council Meetings, and Coordinating Music Program. 4. Praise Team and Music Leader for the Contemporary Protestant Service of Worship at Fort Leavenworth, KS. The Music leader must have experience in a Christian worship service setting, performing with piano/keyboard, both solo and in accompaniment with choral and/or other musical instruments. The music leader is responsible for the selection, overall planning and coordination for all music in coordination with the Protestant Chaplain and advisory committee. Provide a unified program of music for public worship that allows for individual differences as approved by the Protestant Chaplain. This position requires approximately 212 program units that include: Sunday Worship, Choir Rehearsals, Holy Days, Special Rehearsals, Funerals, Selecting Music, ordering music, attending Chapel Council Meetings, and Coordinating Music Program. 5. Organist/pianist for the Sunday morning Liturgical Protestant Service of Worship. The organist/pianist shall play for the congregation and choir in singing anthems, special music, calls to worship. Provide musical accompaniment for a weekly choir rehearsal. Organist/pianist must be available to perform services on weekends, weekday evenings, and holidays as required and must play the required musical instruments according to professional standards. Organist/pianist must have experience in a Christian worship service setting, performing with organ and piano, both solo and in accompaniment with choral and/or other musical instruments. Must be able to transpose music as well as play most hymns found in the accepted service hymnal at first sight while maintaining an appropriate tempo, rhythm, and registration at the organ. Must be able to play acceptable prelude and postlude music, accompany soloists, ensembles, and choirs for liturgical styles of worship. Organist must be able to transpose music with few accidentals, without using the modulator dial. This position requires approximately 85 program units that include: Sunday Worship, Choir Rehearsals, Holy Days, Special Rehearsals, Funerals, Selecting Music, ordering music, attending Chapel Council Meetings, and Coordinating Music Program. 6. Music Director/Musician for the Protestant Gospel Service of Worship. Must be able to play the piano/keyboard, and direct the choir. The music director shall provide musical accompaniment for the Adult, Youth, Men and Womens choir as well as the Praise Team. Music Director will schedule weekly choir rehearsals at a time convenient for the members of the choir. The Praise Team will have a rehearsal each week in preparation for the weekly Sunday worship. The Music director must be available to perform services on weekends, weekdays evenings and holidays as required. The music director must play the required musical instruments according to professional standards and have experience in a Gospel Christian worship service setting, performing with piano/keyboard, both solo and in accompaniment with choral and/or other musical instruments. Must be able to transpose music as well as play most hymns found in the accepted service hymnal at first sight while maintaining an appropriate tempo, rhythm, and registration at the piano. Must be able to play acceptable prelude and postlude music, accompany soloists, ensembles, and choirs and must be able to transpose music with few accidentals. The Music Director will work in close association with the Protestant Gospel Pastor. This position requires approximately 134 program units that include: Sunday Worship, Choir Rehearsals, Special Services, and Special Rehearsals.
