- Description
- Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractorto provideall supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, andotherresources necessary to complete this project. Principle components ofworkinclude: Removal of 115-kV conductor, overhead ground wires and associatedinsulators and assemblies; removal of 115-kV wood poles structures, guysandanchors; installation of 115-kV single circuit steel pole structures,230-kVdouble circuit steel pole structures; 230-kV conductor, composite groundwirewith optical fiber, and overhead ground wire and associated assemblies; and installation of fiber terminations and optical splices enclosures. Workshallbe conducted in Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming (82001), and in Ault,WeldCounty, Colorado (80610). Complete all work no later than December 31,2009.A two part Notice to Proceed will be issued; material ordering shall begin30days after receipt of first Notice to Proceed and work shall begin 30 daysafter receipt of the second Notice to Proceed. The magnitude of thisconstruction project is more than $10,000,000. There will only be oneawardfrom this solicitation. Therefore, all Bidders must submit their bids onan"all or none basis". This solicitation will be issued on or about July 16,2008. Bid, Performance and Payment Bonds shall be required. The closingdateis on or about August 19, 2008. This acquisition is Unrestricted.NationalAmerican Industry Classification Code is 237130 and the applicable sizestandard is $31 million. The solicitation will be posted electronically atthisweb site. The specifications and drawings will be issued hard copy.StandardSpecifications will be issued on CD-ROM. Requests for specifications anddrawings must be submitted in writing by faxing 970.461.7377 or by email(gutierre@wapa.gov). Information hours are from 7:00am (MST) to 3:00pm(MST),Monday through Friday.
