This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Bids will be accepted on an all or none basis. The solicitation number is F3Z0418170A001; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26 and Defense DCN 20080513. This acquisition will be a 100% small business set-aside; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 337212. The business size standard is 500 Employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 7110. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 2541. This request for quotation consists of the following items (all or none): Item 0001: Conference Table: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, supplies, etc. to produce, deliver and assemble a conference table meeting the following specifications: Rectangular, 72"W x 228"L total size. Table top will be of 1 1/4" smooth Durabond "green" 100% sustainable wood (or equivalent) with inlay of medium oak finish HPL (high pressure laminate) w/phenolic backer. Table top has a black (color is integral, not applied), HPL mitered edge with a 22.5 degree beveled edge. Each angled edge is mitered and beveled creating a seamless solid surface appearance. The top mitered edge carries onto the top surface to create a 2" border around the entire table top. The HPL is mitered and cold rolled glued to the substrate to prevent expansion or contraction on the edge. Located in the center of table top is a riser, 16.5" high and 24" wide at its base with a top surface 14" wide. The riser is inset on the center of table top running down the center, leaving 24" of work surface around entire table top. The riser is of 1 1/4" smooth Durabond "green" 100% sustainable wood (or equivalent). Inside the riser there will be an elongated cutout on table top to allow wiring to pass between the riser and table base. The sides and top of riser will be finished with same medium oak HPL as table top and will be continuous without seams. The riser top will have a black HPL mitered and beveled edge similar to table top with the mitered edge carrying onto top surface of riser to create a 1 1/2" border around entire riser top. The HPL is mitered and cold rolled glued to the substrate to preclude expansion or contraction on the edge. A 1 1/4" lip around entire side of riser 4" up from table top to serve as a rest for phones around table. Lip will be of 3/4" Durabond "green" 100% sustainable wood (or equivalent), medium oak finish. It will be perpendicular to the sides of the riser and attached from inside riser, both glued and screwed. Holes w/grommets (3/r” black HT sleeve) will be cut on riser sides for phone lines (shall be done at time of installation to ensure exact location). One rectangular continuous platform base, 27 3/4 “in height, to support table top and recessed 21” from edge of table top. The base will be of 1 ¼” smooth Durabond “green” 100% sustainable wood (or equivalent), and assembled using miter fold process. Fronts of drawers will be flush with slightly recessed 2.5” apron (recessed to beveled edge of table top) around and under edge of table top, giving a solid 2.5” apron reveal around entire table when drawers are closed. Apron and drawer fronts finished with black HPL. Drawers mounted on full-extension ball bearing slides. Table top in four sections connected with biscuits and recessed draw bolts. Power/data modules located on table top just below riser and 24” from table edge at each of the 12 positions around table, with each module having one ac outlet and one each phone and data port. Modules will be recessed and flush with table top and have retractable covers which will never be in the way of user (when open, they are flush and convert is tucked inside module, and when closed, they are flush with table top.) A power/data module is located on the interior of table base at each of the 12 positions around the table, with an additional one at the head position at the table. Interior modules will have two ac outlets one data port and one phone port. Each of the 12 positions around the table will have an on-off switch on side of riser which operates on an individual basis an orange strobe light situated on the top center of the riser. All table power requirements will connect to power sources via three-pronged plugs, not hardwired. Two brackets mounted in the center of base (exact location will be established at time of installation) to accommodate two 48-port patch panels, providing easy accessibility to front and rear of patch panels (patch panels user furnished and installed). Will require placement of access holes with grommets for power, phone, and data cables at time of installation. All HPL inlay on table top, base, riser, apron, and drawers to be cold rolled glued for durability. See attachment for the drawing. Within ten days following contract award and prior to start of manufacturing process, vendor will provide a 3-D color CAD rendering to user for review and approval and will not proceed without this approval.
