- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a contract order to Advance Measurement Technology (AMT), Oak Ridge, TN for a Gross Gamma Screening System, including 7 individual 3" X 5" NaI(TI) detectors with single well, shielding, cabinet with 7 each DigiBASEs 14-PIN PMT Base with Digital High Voltage and MCA including PC and custom software. The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR 6.302-1. Advance Measurement Technology (AMT) is the only source for this equipment. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the services are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
