Description
This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.This notice is being issued as a Request for Quotation for Exhaust Relief Valves inaccordance with the following specifications:1)Description = ASME Section VIII safety relief valves with packed lever2)Quantity = 23)Minimum flow rate capacity, each valve = 20.7 lb/s, broken down as follows: a.Air = 18.3 lb/s b.Water vapor = 2.2 lb/s c.Natural gas = 0.2 lb/s4)Set pressure reqd = 15 psig (assume back pressure = 0 psig)5)Std operating temperature = 230 F a.Max operating temperature = 350 F6)Size = 8 inlet x 10 outlet, w/ raised-face class 150 flanges7)Operation = Non-pilot-operated (pilot-op is too slow)8)Merchandise delivered to NASA by September 30, 2008The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 2005-26.This procurement is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 332911 and500 employees respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer their size status forthis procurement.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.Delivery to the NASA/Glenn Research Center is required by September 30, 2008. Offers for the items described above are due by July 11, 2008,to NASA/Glenn ResearchCenter, Attn: Nancy Shumaker, MS 500-306, 21000 Brookpark Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44135 andmust include, solicitation number, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms,warranty duration (if applicable), taxpayer identification number (TIN), identificationof any special commercial terms, and be signed by an authorized company representative. Offerors shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1 (APR 2008), Instructionsto Offerors-Commercial Items, which is incorporated by reference. If the end products offered are other than domestic end products, as defined in theclause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the offeror shall so state and shall listthe country of origin.FAR 52.212-4 (FEB 2007), Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items is applicable. Other critical requirements, such as delivery, shall alsobe considered. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluationof their offer. (SEE FAR 52.212-1(b)). Offerors must include completed copies of the provision at 52.212-3 (JUNE 2008), OfferorRepresentations and Certifications - Commercial Items with their offer.
