Description
The original RFP, N68936-05-R-0024, resulted in the issuance of multiple contracts to further research and demonstrate the miniature radio frequency technology cited by each contractor. The Northrop Grumman Company received a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract, N68936-05-C-0059, to further research, demonstrate, and deliver MPM technology.. The contract included the use of a level-of-effort Long Term Support CLIN (0006) which required Northrop Grumman to provide support after the product was delivered. The hours originally included in the contract were depleted as a result of unforeseen system integration issues. As a result, the Government intends to modify the contract to add 300 more level-of-effort hours to provide support through the end of the program; 17 Nov 2008. Only Northrop Grumman can provide the needed support due to their unique knowledge and technical expertise of their product. Place of performance is expected to be at the Northrop Grumman site, 600 Hicks Road, MSL 3200, Rolling Meadows, IL, 60008-1098, FOB destination. Any firm believing they can provide the needed support without substantial duplication of cost and within the current schedule may submit a written response to be received at the contracting office no later than 26 July 2008. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Award of the contract modification is expected on or about 11 August 2008. All requests must reference the contract number N68936-05-C-0059. Please submit responses in writing to Gary Trimble by email at gary.trimble@navy.mil or by mail to: Commander, Code 210000D, Attn: Gary Trimble, 429 East Bowen Rd., China Lake, CA 93555-6108. See numbered notes 22 & 26.
