- The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Washington, Washington Navy Yard, DC 20374-5018 has a requirement for maintenance (cleaning) of printers and replacement of toner cartridges of printers with refurbished units for Building 212, which has 47 printers of various types including Black and White and Color printers. It is estimated that each printer will require approximately three (3) refurbished toner cartridges, or an approximate yearly total of 141 refurbished toner cartridge units. Work shall be performed in accordance with the Statement of Work based on actual work requirements. Cleaning of Building 212 printers includes vacuuming and/or brushing out the interior of the printers, cleaning the paper path, and wiping down the exterior of the machine with computer cleaning solution and clean cloth; and includes pickup and replacement of cartridges as needed during maintenance. Building 212 has four (4) floors with printers on each floor. It is expected that maintenance will be on a four-week cycle cleaning the printers on a floor each week on a monthly basis. Prospective contractors shall submit a proposal in accordance with Sections L and M of the solicitation, which will be issued using simplified acquisition procedures for commercial services in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The contract will be for a Base Year and Four (4) one-year options for a total period of performance for five years. FAR clause FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, will be incorporated and if exercised may extend the period of performance an additional six months. This requirement is 100% set aside for small business. The due date of proposals is 8 July 2008 by 11:00 AM.
