- The Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to procure the upgrading and installation of security system for building SP-237 at FISC Norfolk Advanced Traceability Control (ATAC), Norfolk, VA. The contractor shall provide and furnish all required materials, equipment, tools, labor, and services necessary to complete an upgrade and installation of a new security system. The contractor shall disconnect and remove the existing Video Security System and turnover all equipment to a customer representative. The proposed acquisition shall be awarded under a firm fixed price contract utilizing Simplified Acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The applicable NAICS code is 561621 with a small business size standard of $11.5 million dollars. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business. A complete RFQ package will be available on or about 1 July 2008, by downloading the documents at the NECO Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Site visit information will be detailed in the solicitation. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting an offer, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
