- The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area, located in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise's necessary to provide a review of the condition of archeological metals. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the Department of Interiors (DOI) National Business Center (NBC) web site at http://www.ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Interested contractors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the web site. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://www.ideasec.nbc.gov. The service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the web site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this web site periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the procurement documents. No other notifications will be sent. Project Description: The anticipated work includes, but is not limited to the following: 3 phases to accomplish the conservation and treatment. 1. Providing Condition Assessment and Treatment Proposals. 2. Treatment and Stabilization. 3. Treatment Reports. The NAICS for this procurement is: 712120, the Small Business Size Standard: $6.5 Technical Evaluation Criteria: 1. Demonstrated experience, ability and successful past performance within five (5) years in on-site conservation of archeological metal artifacts similar in nature to the scope of this project. 2. Demonstrate knowledge, skills, abilities and experience of conservator (s), assistants and other key personnel proposed for employment for this project. Emphasis will be placed on conservation training and past experience. Resumes for key contract project staff must be submitted. This procurement is 100% Set aside for Small Business, and The National Park Service welcomes the participation of Women Owned and Minority Firms, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB). This is not a Request for Proposal. The request for Proposal will be issued o/a/ July 07, 2008 with a closing date o/a August 8, 2008. The RFP will state Site Visit Schedule. Award selection will be based on contractor who best meets the Technical criteria's mentioned above.
