Description
The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Approval and Certification Center (A&CC) intends to develop an internet based program that mine product manufacturers can use to submit application to MSHA for approval of their product. The MSHA Office of Technical Support would deploy this program as a means to offset the significant personnel resources that are currently required to assist manufacturers in making application to MSHA for approval of their product 1.SCOPE The contractor will develop the necessary software at their facility that can interact with various sources of information on the MSHA website to enable the end user to search the MSHA website for applicable documentation and to submit the necessary information to the A&CC to start the approval investigation process. Communications must be maintained with A&CC approval personnel as well as personnel from the Office of Program Evaluation and Information Resources (PEIR). This automation effort involves the development of an MSHA virtual library facility which assists the user in completing work processes and which eliminate tedious tasks. PROPOSAL WITH PRICING SHEET IS ATTACHED TO THIS NOTICE. QUESTIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ON JUNE 30, 2008 BY 3:00P.M. EASTERN TIME. ALL RESPONSES AND PROPOSALS MUST BE ELECTRONICALLY. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE ALL RESPONSE MUST BE BY E-MAIL. MBI (MINIMUM BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION) IS REQUIRED FOR THIS NOTICE.
