- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYCOM) intends to contract with Bell Helicopter Textron Inc (BHTI) for non recurring efforts necessary to increase Alternating Current (AC) capacity to support Assault Directed Infrared Counter Measures (ADIRCM) system for the AH-1Z and UH-1Y aircraft under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA). The effort is in support of the H-1 Helicopter program for the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and will additionally reduce contraints on existing weapons employment and provide increased capability for future survivability and weapons system. The requirement consists of design, analysis, testing and qualification of a replacement inverter and electrical wiring associated component design and shall take advantage of advance in technology and COTS components. NAVAIRSYCOM intends to procure these services from BHTI, the sole manufacturer of the H-1 aircraft, under an existing BOA with BHTI, Ft. Worth, TX.
