Description
PM IED Defeat/Protect Force is seeking sources for the development, integration and production of a counter vegetation trailered ground torch system that will provide the capability of eliminating thick vegetation along roadside and canal banks to enhance mobility through route clearance and other engineer missions. Interested respondents should include information that answers the following questions in a white paper format: 1. Do you have a trailered ground torch system that can be towed by military vehicles that incorporates the following characteristics into the design: Provides a stand-off capability to deliver thickened fuel and or flame with a range of at least 150 feet/50 meters, utilizing standard military fuels, has a self sealing fuel tank, is able to negotiate rough terrain, is maintainable, and able to be towed by standard military vehicles. 2. Have you previously manufactured trailer systems that are Safety Certified by the Army Test and Evaluation Command to be towed by Army Light and/or Medium Tactical Vehicles? 3. Do you have experience integrating third-party systems to the above mentioned trailer systems? 4. What delivery schedule would you be able to sustain and at what quantity levels (ex. 40 units a month or 10 units a week; 50 units every 25 days; etc.)? 5. What is your quality control process? 6. Do you have the ability, in-house or sub-contracted, to package the units for air freight travel? Additionally if a respondent has a product or design currently in development that it feels would be appropriate for this possible effort please include additional information, including pictures if possible, to assist the Government in evaluation of the current market conditions for an item of this nature. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
