Description
Construct an Army Reserve Center (ARC) located off of White Settlement Road in Fort Worth Texas. The ARC will include the construction of a 63,285-square-foot Training Center building with administrative, educational, assembly, library, learning center, vault, weapons simulator, unit storage, and physical fitness areas. A 14,640-square-foot Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS) building that will provide work bays and maintenance administrative support is also planned. In addition, the project will also convert two earth-covered concrete bunkers into Unheated Storage (UHS) buildings. Supporting facilities include adequate parking space for military and privately owned vehicles, electrical service, water, sewer, gas, fencing, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, anti-terrorism/force protection measures and extension of utilities to serve the project. Access to the ARC site is from White Settlement Road along a 2-lane asphalt road that runs north to the site. The site for the new ARC has been previously developed and exists as an abandoned Weapons Storage Area (WSA). The fenced area around the WSA is approximately 70 acres and contains 2 munitions inspection shops, an entry control building, 16 ordnance storage buildings (including 11 earth-covered bunkers), and paved roadways. Demolition of selected pavement, buildings, foundations, and other items will be required. Additional government-owned property surrounds the WSA. This procurement is full and open with 10% to Hubzone preference. The procurement is Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). All evaluation factors, other than cost or price, when combined, are equal to cost and price. The estimated price range is $10 to $25 million. NAICS code is 236220. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 7, 2008 and proposals will be due on or about August 7, 2008. For questions you many contact Connie Murphree through email at Connie.G.Murphree@usace.army.mil.
