Description: Competitive Synopsis/Solicitation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. F1AF1N8156AQ01. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-11. The North American Industry Classification System code is 335999 at 500 Employees size standard. LINE ITEM 0001: Purchase and Installation of Static Transfer Switch FFP Provide and install 200 amp MGE Static Transfer Switch, necessary EMT, THHN wire to existing UPS power panel located within the NMCC tiny_mce_marker ________ PER UNIT & INSTALLATION x 1 EACH = tiny_mce_marker ________________ Period of Performance: 07 July 2008 - 07 November 2008. The item description is as follows: The Government intends purchase one (1) Static Transfer Switch for the National Military Command Center (NMCC), Pentagon, Arlington, VA. The Contractor shall furnish and install 2 ½" EMT with (4) #3/0 THHN and (1) #6 THHN to provide 200A/208V power to new STS. The Contractor shall also furnish and install test MGE 200 Amp STS in accordance to MGE cut sheets. The purchase and all work will be performed IAW the attached SOW. The period of performance for this requirement is 07 July 2008 - 07 November 2008. FAR PROVISIONS: The provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items. Offers that fail to furnish required representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration, (IAW FAR 4.1201 prospective contractors must be registered in the Online Representative & Certification Application (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov ) The offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers, unless another time period is specified in an addendum to the solicitation. Late offers - Any offer, modification, revision, or withdrawal of an offer received at the Government office designated in the solicitation after the exact time specified for receipt of offers is late and will not be considered. Addendum to FAR Clause 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition.
