Description
The Space and Naval Warfare SystemsCenter (SPAWARSYSCEN), Charleston, Code 56410 (Advanced Law Enforcement Technology Branch), is seeking information on Commercial Off The Shelf underwater swimmer detection systems that meets the needs of port security personnel. These systems should typically consist of a sonar device, processor platform, and command workstation. The sonar based underwater swimmer detection systems should be able to scan a large area and automatically detect, classify and track swimmers of all types at long range regardless of the operating environment, issue a warning, and alert the operator once a threat has been identified. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Authorized Equipment List (AEL) item number for this equipment is 05NP-00-IDS (System, Intrusion Detection). The target audience for this information is port security personnel and the emergency responder community. All submittals should be suited to their specific needs. Review of this information is being performed for DHS, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Technology Section. DHS established the System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program to conduct comparative assessments and validation activities that provide the emergency responder community with information on important products and services. Visit the SAVER Program Web site at https://saver.fema.gov for more information on the SAVER Program. All information received will be treated as public knowledge and may be used in SAVER Program documentation; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information, or provide any technical data controlled by Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in response to this RFI. Information provided will be published to the SAVER Web site and made available to the public. Specific information sought includes: Company information, including name, address, URL, revenue, and number of employees. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. Product name and a brief description (75 words or less). Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SAVER projects and reports. Determination as to an individual products suitability will be made by SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston based on the objectives of this request. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Vendor provided information may be reformatted for publication in SAVER Program documents.
