Description
The 379th Expeditionary Contracting Squadron at Al Udeid AB intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to BARCO Simulation, LLC for: Line Item 001: Repair and refurbishment of BARCO Lamps. Model # R9840740, 15 BARCO Lamps are to be repaired/refurbished, Quantity: 15 each. Line Item 002: New BARCO Lamps are to be provided to replace the BARCO Lamps that are non-repairable and can not be refurbished. Model # R9840740, 6 BARCO Lamps are to be replaced. Quantity: 6 each. Line Item 003: Once all BARCO Lamps are refurbished/repaired or replaced, they will all be shipped together in one complete shipment. The shipping will be coordinated and made by BARCO via DHL door to door to the address in Block 15. The delivery status of each lamp will be monitored by the customer for records and receiving purposes. Quantity: 1 Lot. This award is unrestricted and is under North American Industry Classification System Code 333319. This sole source action is being accomplished under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government believes that BARCO Simulation, LLC is the only known source that has the patented, proprietary, commercial product and design expertise to provide these products. These lamps also fall under warranty with BARCO Simulation, LLC, so the government is credited for the amount of time that is lost on each lamp if a lamp was to burn out prior to it reaching the number of hours that the lamp should be working. These items are a part of an existing system and no equal product will accepted. This notice is NOT a request for quote, however all responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation in sufficient detail if they have the capability to supply this requirement. Responses to this notice of intent shall be submitted no later than 10:00am local Doha, Qatar time on 16 June 2008. Any information received will only be considered for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement.
