- Description
- This is a Sources Sought announcement, a market survey for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. Description For purposes of this market survey, SANES will be defined as any equipment that provides visual or tactile enhancement of the physical environment outside of the crew operating compartment. Typically, these types of systems include infra-red (IR) imagers, Low Light Level Television (LLLTV), Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) based sensors, 360 Visual Systems, Synthetic Vision equipment, and Tactile Operator Feedback systems, along with any ancillary hardware and software. The ACV operating environment includes a significant amount of salt spray for at sea operations, heavy sand/dust/mud, debris from overland operations and no/little outside light during night operations. Technologies of interest may be in the R&D phase of development, having a production horizon of five years with a TRL 6. The government will consider Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) on a case-by-case basis to protect proprietary R&D data disclosures. A technical description of the SANES System is requested to include: Weight, Space WxHxD, Power Requirements (Peak and Normal Load), Power Type (AC(Freq))/DC), Transceiver Output Power, External Data Interface, Modes, Band Width Requirements, Cooling Requirements, MIL-STD-901D shock test (Y/N), MIL-STD-810F, Method 516.5, procedure 1 shock test (acceleration and waveform), MIL-STD-167-1A, type 1 vibration test (Y/N), MIL-STD-810F, Method 514.5 vibration test (category and figure used), Operational temperature range, Non-operational (storage) temperature range, Condensing humidity (Y/N), Drip/splash proof (provide test method), Salt fog testing (provide test method), Blowing sand testing (provide test method), Govt Maintenance Support Plan if applicable, Training (military schools, vendor schools, etc), PAN Movement in degrees and Slew rate settings for multiple cameras, Tilt deg Movement in degrees, Gyro Stabilization, PC Application, Display Quality/Resolution, API Programmer Interface Description, Max Detector Range for Person, Video Output Standard, Zoom capability, Focus Range, S/N Ratio (dB), AGC (Auto or Manual), Remote Control Interface, Equipment mounting options Equivalent commercial environmental test standards will be considered. NOTE: While the ACV will encounter a wide range of harsh environmental conditions representative of amphibious assaults in diverse regions of the world, there are ACV level and subsystem level approaches possible to reduce the range of environmental conditions encountered by the SANES system/components. When responding to this market survey, please provide information on all products provided by the respondent over a wide range of environmental specifications. Responses Responses to this RFI should include supporting materials that provides a demonstration of your companys capabilities and experience. For costs, please provide any applicable quantity discounts. The following information is requested (indicate if the information is an estimate or actual). 1.Technical description of the SANES System (see above)2.List and definition of system interfaces including data description and protocols3.Installation and integration requirements including operating systems supported and approximate processing characteristics required for host computers4.US Military applications including points of contact5.Unit cost and lead time for SANES system delivery6.Cost for hardware maintenance fees (including updates, technical support, etc)7.Cost for software licensing fees and associated terms (development, installation, maintenance, etc)8.Cost for on-site and classroom training of SANES system components NSWC PCD requests your responses by 10:00 am (CST), on 09 July 2008.
