Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE for market research ONLY to determine the availability of Field Thermography Infrared Imaging Test Equipment, for the 172d Airlift Wing, Jackson, MS. No awards will be made from this notice. No solicitation is available at this time. Responses to this notice will be used to determine an appropriate acquisition strategy. In the event only one item exists that meets the minimum specifications, a brand name justification will be issued pursuant to FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. A subsequent market survey will not be published in support of a Justification and Approval (J&A) in the event only one product is submitted for consideration. SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENT: Field Thermography Infrared Imaging Test Equipment. Required features: portable; hand-held; one-person-operable; approximately 6 in. x 4.5 in. inspection field; uses thermographic infrared technology; will be used for non-destructive inspection of composite-skinned military aircraft; requires no adaptation of hangar environment; programmable control of image acquisition rates; synchronizes heat source triggering; accepts external trigger to initiate event based synchronized data acquisition; provides reconstructed raw, or time derivative (1st or 2d images) of single or multiple images sequences; contains image processing (mean, median and high-pass filtering) and overlapping functions which can be memorized and stored for repeated analysis tasks; data archived in compressed format, or as.avi movie; data acquisition and analysis system consists of a ruggedized PC configured for high speed digital image capture and signal processing. Any vendor wishing to provide a system that complies with required features must provide a copy of its brochure, cut sheets, and any other data that demonstrates the systems ability to meet the required features, by 14 calendar days from date of publication of this notice, NO LATER THAN 27 Jun 2008, 4:00 P.M.
