Description
Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractorto provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources to complete this project. The work for this project is located at six microwave communication sites in North Dakota and one microwave site in Minnesota. The principal components of the work include removal of the existing communications buildings and foundations, entry platforms, propane tank gas line and foundation, and removal of existing chain link fence; construction of pre-assembled, metal-framed, noncombustible buildings approximately six 10 x 28 and one 10 x 30, with reinforced concrete foundation; miscellaneous metalwork; interior insulation and finishes; insulated metal doors and frames; roof insulation; HVAC and electrical systems; installation of a new building grounding system; installation of new chain link fencing; trenching and grading; and other miscellaneous items as described on the drawings and specifications. The work is located in Cass, Billings, Barnes, Stark, and Golden Valley Counties in North Dakota and Stevens County in Minnesota. This solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business companies. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All work is to be completed within 270 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. This solicitation will be issued on or about June 30, 2008 and the projected bid opening date is July 31, 2008. Interested bidders must email, fax or mail the Contract Specialist to request the specifications and applicable drawings. DO NOT post any questions or responses to this IFB on IIPS. Any questions or responses posted to IIPS that concern this IFB will not be considered during the evaluation and award process. Any non-U.S. (Foreign National) visiting or working at any Western Area Power Administration facility must receive prior written approval from the appropriate Western Security Manager. Please contact the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist for further information. NOTE: A limited number of copies of this solicitation will be available to those requesting it, on a first come, first serve basis. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to make copies of the solicitation for their supplies and subcontractors.
