- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a need to acquire occupational information based on the Department of Labor’s Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT), 4th edition. This DOT-based information will be evaluated in order to determine whether the data can be used in SSA’s disability evaluation process in terms of current SSA disability guidelines. This requirement will be procured utilizing procedures in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541720. The size standard is $6.5 million. SSA anticipates awarding one or more firm-fixed price type contract(s) for this effort. The period of performance is anticipated to be for nine months in duration. The solicitation will be issued as a small business set-aside. It is anticipated that the Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about June 23, 2008. The selection decision will be on a low-priced, technically acceptable basis. The RFQ will be issued under solicitation SSA-RFQ-08-1516. The solicitation and any related documents will be made available to interested parties through electronic media for downloading via the internet at Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be available. Potential offerors shall be responsible for monitoring the internet site for release of the solicitation and are therefore encouraged to register to receive notification from this website as a result of this synopsis.
