Description
THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY – The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) intends to negotiate a Contract for the Division of Transplantation with The National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016. The purpose of this procurement is to provide support for the planning, implementation, and facilitation of the biennial Federal National Donor Recognition program, use of a data base of donor families, and a contractor whose staff is experienced in working with and providing programs and events for groups of donor families in all stages of the grief process. The period of performance for this project is for a base year plus four option years. NAICS Code: 813212 This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 15. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition is on file, which states and supports that The National Kidney Foundation is the only vendor that owns the data base and has complete access to the data base that identifies the donor families and their contact information, which are the major participants for the ceremony. Additionally they have the staff which has the expertise and training to deal with donor families, living donors, and transplant recipients. They have a full understanding of donors, their families, and transplant recipients special needs as well as grief counseling. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
