- GENERAL INFORMATION: This notice is issued as a market research tool in order to identify qualified and interested sources. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, fuel, transportation, supervision, and other items and services necessary to provide leased commercial quality washers (95 each) and electric dryers (96 each of which 70 stackable). This would be an annual leasing requirement (one base period with four option periods) that would also include appliance maintenance repair, preventative maintenance, and appliance relocation. These appliances would be located in 12 different facilities. Below are specific appliance and maintenance requirements: Washing Machines: Electric, shall be white, commercial, heavy-duty type, with standard cold and hot water connections, and have a minimum capacity 3 cubic ft. Washers shall have three (3) wash cycles (normal, permanent press, and delicate fabrics) and three (3) water temperature selections (cold, warm, and hot). Washers shall be capable of operating on all of the aforementioned cycles while on a 120 volt AC, 20 AMP circuit without overloading the circuit. Dryers: Electric, shall be white, commercial, heavy-duty type with a minimum capacity of 7 cubic ft. and have three (3) heat ranges (normal, delicate, and no heat air dry). Dryers must contain a drying time indicator that can be selected to indicate the drying period for the desired fabric. Dryers must be shock proof and contain a safety start button plus a safety latch to shut off the dryer when the door is open. All dryers must be capable of operating on a 220 volt, 30 AMP circuit without overloading the circuit. Service Calls and Service: (a) Routine service calls shall be completed within forty-eight (48) hours of notice. (b) When emergency service is required, the contractor shall perform needed maintenance and repairs within twenty-four (24) hours of notice of machine malfunction. (c) Routine maintenance and repairs shall be accomplished, on-site, during normal duty hours, 0700-1600 hours Monday-Friday. (d) The contractor shall perform preventive maintenance at least monthly and maintain a preventative maintenance log. (e) The contractor shall provide additional or substitute equipment, if necessary, in the event of a breakdown or equipment malfunction at no additional cost to the government. If equipment "Operating Instructions" is not printed on the washers and dryers, a mechanically or professionally printed sign or signs shall be prominently displayed in view of the customers. Small businesses are invited to submit synopsis, not to exceed 3 pages, of their capabilities to manage and execute this type of contract, and transition current workforce where applicable. Responses must include the following: (1) Name and address of firm; (2) Size of business, including: average annual revenue for past three years and number of employees; (3) Ownership, indicating whether: Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Women-Owned, HUBZone, and/or Veteran-Owned Business/Service Disabled Veteran-owned etc (4) Two points of contact, including: name, title, phone, fax, and e-mail address; (5) Affiliate information, including parent corporation, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); (6) Annual pricing information. NOTE REGARDING SYNOPSIS: This synopsis is for information and planning purposes ONLY and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is NOT a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.
