- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) WC1JUJ81430471. (iii) This Combined Synopsis/Solicitation and the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-16. (iv). This acquisition is a Small Business Set-aside, Size standards $4.5 million. The applicable NAICS is 541330. (v) The items requested are as follows: ITEM NUMBER 1, Chairlift Line Speed Modification - Adjust chairlift line speed from 400 feet per minute to 450 feet per minute per ANSI B77.1-2006 Suggested method: 1.Remove factory installed drive and driven sheave assemblies on DC drive motor and jackshaft located in lift motor room. 2.Calculate outside diameter of replacement sheaves to obtain 450 ft per min line speed and install on DC drive shaft and jackshaft. 3.Start lift and adjust line speed to 450 feet per minute by turning drive speed dashpot on Sabina drive control card located inside drive cabinet. 4.Calculate carrier spacing on haul rope to obtain 6 second chair intervals at 450 feet per minute line speed. 5.Calibrate normal and service brake stopping distances to ANSI B77.1 guidelines. 6.Monitor chair swing at drive and return sheave and adjust for smooth operation. 7.Adjust drive motor ramp speeds for safe operation. 8. Verify unload ramp will accommodate the increase in line speed Certification of completed work: 1.Perform code review to insure compliance. 2.Develop procedure and perform dynamic weight testing on lift braking systems. 3.Perform acceptance inspection on lift per ANSI B77.1-2006, para. 4.1.1.11.2 4.Furnish written mechanical speed change, dynamic weight test and acceptance inspection documentation to Birch Hill Ski Area within 2 weeks of completion of work. The 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial, applies to this acquisition, along with the following addenda. (ix) Offers will be evaluated using the following evaluation factors, technically acceptable, price and delivery time. The contract will be awarded to the offeror that provides the best value to the government. (x) All offers must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items (Alt I) (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions Commercial Items applies to this acquisition along with the following addenda: 52.219-1, Small Business Program Representations (Apr 2002). All offers must include a completed copy of this provision. 252.204-7004. Required Central Contractor Registration (Nov 2001), 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions.
