- The Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie (managed by the US Forest Service) in Wilmington, IL is advertising a project for plant seeds and plugs. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, transportation, supervision, materials and supplies and any other incidentals as required in the Schedule of Items, Specifications, Provisions and Clauses of the solicitation necessary to provide various plant seeds and plugs which are native to the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. Solicitation AG-51KN-S-08-4050 is a commercial acquisition and is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The resultant contract will be firm fixed priced. The solicitation will be posted on or around June 9, 2008. This solicitation will ONLY be available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) website: http://www.fbo.gov/. Copies of the specifications will be uploaded to FEDBIZOPPS along with the solicitation document. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Multiple awards are anticipated. Offerors may submit offers for all or a portion of the items. Successful offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database or award cannot be made. You may register at the CCR website: http://www.ccr.gov/. Proposals will be due no later than 4:30pm local time on June 30, 2008. The Government anticipates award on or about July 7, 2008.
