- Description
- The FISC Norfolk Contracting Department, Groton Office, CT intents to award a sole source purchase order to Measurement Technology Northwest, for the following parts to refurbish BO the manikin: Replace Bos existing head with a new 2-zone aluminum head (NEMO design) with integrated sweat pores. De-skin and sweat-enable the manikin upper torso, hands, and feet. Redesign and rebuild the joint couplers. Manikin control system upgrade, including new electrical components, microprocessor boards, cabling and connectors, PC computer, and ThermDAC. This purchase will be done under simplified acquisition Procedures (FAR 13) and other than full and open competition as authorized under far 6.302-1. This purchase is a sole source due to the compatibility of the requirement with existing biophysical Government owned equipment. The anticipated award date is 06 Jun 2008; this notice is not a request for offers. A determination not to compete this procurement based on response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
