- NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Demolition of the 14 WindTunnel Test Chamber, the attached office building, and site utilities.The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00 andthe effort shall be completed within 10 months if Base Item is awarded or 11 months ifBase Item with options are awarded.The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 238910 and $13.0million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about June 9, 2008 with an anticipatedoffer closing date of on or about July 9, 2008.The firm date for receipt of bids or proposals will be stated in the RFP. Specificationsand Drawings will be available on CD and can be obtained by contacting Mr. Mike Nar at(650) 604-1517 or email Mike.T.Nar@nasa.gov.This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. TheSmall Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program requires NASA to use full and opencompetition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered bythe agency.An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement [with the exception of thespecifications and drawings] will be available over the Internet. These documents willreside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browserapplication.
