Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference number 153213 is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-21. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. The Government will award a firm fixed price contract. The Government will not be responsible for any costs accrued or incurred in response to this solicitation. Part A. Statement of Work •1. Purpose: The Secret Service is in need of copiers to lease on a temporary basis to support the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO. Contractor is to furnish copiers to locations and time frames as stated below: •1.1. Four (4) large size color copiers-high capacity (20amp, 40,000 copies), for the period of June 2, 2008, through September 2, 2008. Technical support will be required between these dates including weekends for each location listed. Twenty-four hour technical support will be required from August 1 - September 4, 2008. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 40,000 copies (10,000 per copier) •1.2. Three (3) large size black and white copiers (20 amp, 20,000 copies) for the period of June 2, 2008 through September 2, 2008. Technical support will be required between these dates including weekends. Twenty-four hour technical support will be required from August 1, 2008, through September 4, 2008. Paper, toner and other supplies will be required for up to 20,000 copies. •1.3. One (1) HIGH CAPACITY GRAPHIC PRINTER/COPIER; for use by Graphics Branch; network capabilities; graphic printing; utilizing various sizes of paper. Dates are subject to change. •2. Contractor Screening : •2.1. The selected contractor will be required to provide the following information about the contractor's employees and subcontractors who may have direct or incidental access to information being provided by the U.S. Secret Service: a) Employee's full name; b) Employee's date and place of birth; c) Employee's social security number; and d) Employee's race and sex. - (form to be provided with award) •2.2. The U.S. Secret Service will conduct a background check of all named personnel. The results of these checks will be used solely by the U.S. Secret Service in evaluating personnel. Part B Contractor Information: 1) Provide the name, title, telephone number, fax number, and email address of the point of contact. 2) Provide the nine-digit DUNS and the nine-digit TIN. DUNS is used to verify that the vendor is in CCR and a small business for the NAICS specified. The Taxpayer Identification Number is necessary for electronic payment. By submitting a proposal, the Offeror acknowledges the Government requirement to be in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of any contract. Information about CCR may be found at www.ccr.gov. 3) If you have not completed the annual representations and certifications electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov, please fill in the representations and certifications in the Solicitation. If you use ORCA, then do not fill out and sign those pages. The entire email must not be greater than 3 MB; if the proposal is above that limit, please send multiple emails. Faxed proposals will not be accepted. Submitting by postal mail is strongly discouraged as postal mail is scanned prior to acceptance; you will miss the deadline. Please put "153213" in the subject line. If you do not receive an email confirmation of receipt of your proposal, then your proposal has not been received.
