- It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine to procure the items listed below as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is an unrestricted procurement for the following items: PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENT A FOR ITEM DESCRIPTIONS Pricing shall reflect any quantity discount. Delivery will be made to National Library of Medicine, 9000 Rockville Pike, Building 38A, Room B1W08O, Bethesda, Maryland 20894. The delivery date will be 2 weeks from the date of award. Items delivered shall be new material. Reconditioned/Used Material is not acceptable. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (November 2007). 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (November 2007)- With DUNS Number Addendum [52.204-6 (October 2003)]. 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (February 2007). 52.212-4 Addendum to Clause for Year 2000 Compliance (July 1997) 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (February 2008). Anticipated award date is no later than June 18, 2008. Closing date and time for receipt of offers is 4 PM Eastern Time on June 11, 2008. PROPOSALS ARE TO REMAIN EFFECTIVE FOR 60 DAYS AFTER CLOSE OF SOLICITATION. Offers may be submitted on company letterhead stationery indicating the nomenclature; part number; unit price and extended price, FOB point; payment terms and any discount offered for prompt payment, the business size standard and any minority classification; delivery date, and Representation and Certifications contained in FAR Clause 52.212-3, including Alternate I. The proposed acquisition will be procured under FAR Part 12 - Acquisitions of Commercial Items. This is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) and no other document will be issued.
