- SPECIAL PROJECT DE301-07 This is not a request for either a quote or proposal, or an invitation for bid. The intent of this pre-solicitation synopsis is to identify potential bidders to provide demolition of Building 405, Naval Support Activity, Capodichino, Naples, Italy by means of a firm fixed price construction contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238910. Contractors will be required to be certified in compliance with the Societa Organismi dAttestazione (SOA) and provide proof of the certification with the submission of the firms offer. SOA Classifiation is as follows: OS 23 - DEMOLITION, at classification level III (Prevailing category)and OG I - GENERAL, at classification level I THE ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE IS BETWEEN 825.900,00 and 4.129.500,00. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. The project includes a base bid item. The project will be solicited as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). Bidders can view and/or download the solicitation via Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website at https://euro.neco.navy.mil when it becomes available. All interested bidders shall register at this website. No notice of solicitation activity will be provided to interested bidders. The solicitation is expected to be posted on approx. May 29, 2008. Bids are expected to be due on June 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. (CET). All dates are tentative and are subject to change. Registration for this solicitation does not release bidders from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for any amendments or other information pertaining to this solicitation. This is an internet only solicitation, paper copies of the solicitation, amendments, drawings and maps will not be provided. A site visit has been tentatively scheduled for June 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. You will be requested to attend the site visit. All technical/contractual questions must be submitted in writing to: DeDilectisC@eu.navfac.navy.mil. The Government intends on issuing the IFB Solicitation through the Internet at https://euro.neco.navy.mil. Amendments will also be posted on the website for downloading. All interested BIDDERS shall register at the website to ensure they are notified of updates or amendments to the solicitation as they occur. ***CONTRACTORS MUST CHECK THE NAVFAC VENDOR BOX WHEN REGISTERING to be notified of NAVFAC business opportunities. No other notice of solicitation activity will be provided to interested BIDDERS. It is the responsibility of each BIDDER to check the website periodically for any amendments to this solicitation. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All contractors proposing on Department of Defense Solicitations must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of the contract. The purpose of this database is to provide basic business information and capabilities to the Government. The CCR website can be accessed at www.ccr.gov. You are encouraged to register as soon as possible. All new contracts can ONLY be made to contractors who are registered in CCR.
