Description
1) Type of Notification: Sources Sought This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address, (c) point of contact, (d)”number of employees” as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19.101 and (e) the amount of “annual receipts” as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 19. In addition, the respondent must provide a capability statement that addresses the organization’s qualifications and ability to perform as a prime contractor the work described below. 2) Description: Personal Services (Pediatric Intensivist) The following is a brief summary of the primary duties that the Pediatric Intensivist must perform. This list is not all inclusive: Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Provider (i.e. a “Pediatric Intensivist”) to provide attending physician staff coverage for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) patients, pediatric sedation service patients and other inpatient pediatric patients and consultations referred to as the Health Care Provider (HCP) at Wilford Hall Medical Center (WHMC). In addition the HCP will provide educational opportunities for resident’s in conjunction with those duties that are expect of an active teaching faculty in a residency program. HCP shall perform services and support compatible with the medical facility’s operating capacity and equipment. 3) Qualifications: The HCP shall be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Have at least twenty-four (24) months of clinical pediatric critical care medicine experience within the last thirty-six (36) months; six (6) months experience within the last twenty-four (24) months in Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). 4) Place of Performance: Locations include, but are not limited to, WHMC at Lackland AFB, also referred to as the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), clinics, annexes, and any successor organization(s) of WHMC, if applicable.
