Description

Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton is seeking Contractor sources for a proposed solid waste collection and disposal contract. To be a qualified source, the solid waste hauler must posses a County of San Diego Solid Waste Management Agreement in accordance with Section 68.533 of the San Diego County Code of Regulatory Ordinances prior to submission of proposal. The Contractor shall provide all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform refuse collection and disposal. The work requires collection and disposal of commercial solid waste generated by stores, offices, clubs, cafeterias, dining facilities, warehouses, dormitories, and other such non-industrial activities; and industrial solid waste generated by construction, facility maintenance, and military operations. The average monthly tonnage collected is 1,500 tons per month. Commercial and industrial solid waste also includes bulk items. Family Housing refuse collection is not required. Refuse will be disposed at a Class III Sanitary Landfill located at Camp Pendleton. Refuse sorting and hazardous waste disposal is not required.
