Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to purchase on a brand name or equal basis the following items: CLIN 0001 Six (6) each EMI shielded, shock qualified equipment cabinets meeting the following minimum mandatory physical and performance requirements: Size: 23 w x 26 d x 72 h, not including lifting rings; Weight: 130 pounds, empty; Cooling: two independent 235 CFM cooling fans, mounted in the top rear of the cabinet with the intake in the bottom. EMI filters on the intake and outflow; Certified to MIL-STD-461E, shipboard interior spaces and MIL-STD-810, Grade A shock without resilient shock mounts; Configuration: EIA Retma rails; Door must open > 100 degrees and have positive locking mechanism; Removable rear connector panel; Cabinets must break down completely to facilitate shipboard installation. The Brand Name is A&J Manufacturing Part Number 9758-1000. CLIN 0002 Two (2) each Power Distribution Panels meeting the following minimum physical and performance requirements: Size: fit into a standard rack no more than 2U high; Circuits: 8 each 10A circuits with fuses, SPST switches, and status lights; Surge suppressor; Terminal block; Anti-trip switch bar; Meets MIL-STD-461E, MIL-STD-1399-300, and MIL-STD-810 Grade A shock requirements. The Brand Name is A&J Manufacturing Part Number 150-274. CLIN 0003 Two (2) each footprint templates. Brand Name Part Number A&J Manufacturing 150-116; CLINS 0004 through 0008 are for mounting hardware for the cabinets and panels and must meet the requirements of MIL-STD-461E shipboard interior spaces. CLIN 0004 Six (6) each Cable Retractor (Brand Name Part Number A&J Manufacturing 150-080-2; CLIN 0005 Twelve (12) each fixed shelf (Brand Name Part Number A&J Manufacturing 150-005); CLIN 0006 Twelve (12) each 2 inch slide mount plate (Brand Name Part Number A&J Manufacturing 150-195); CLIN 0007 Twelve (12) each Cable Support (Brand Name Part Number A&J Manufacturing 150-255); CLIN 0008 Four (4) each sliding shelf assemblies (Brand Name Part Number A&J Manufacturing 160-685). If proposing on an equal, offeror must provide clear and convincing data that the substitution is equal (including specifications and test data) or the proposal will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 337215 with a size standard of 750 employees. The purchase order will be firm fixed price. FOB Destination shall apply. This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses. Closing date is 22 May 2008 with award to be made on or about 26 May 2008. Reference RFQ number N61331-08-Q- 4510. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area; therefore, this synopsis and any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.ncsc.navy.mil/Contracts/. DOD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database.
