- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement to acquire an engine room ventilation system for the 110 WPB Class Vessels, manufactured by Delta T Systems, Inc. The system consists of an intake fan, exhaust fan, and a variable speed control system to increase and decrease air flow as required by the air requirements of the main engines at any given time based upon engine demand. A fixed priced, commercial, Requirements type contract with one (1) base year and four (4) option years is anticipated. It is the Government’s belief that only Delta T Systems, Inc., the Original Equipment Manufacturer, possesses the required technical, engineering specifications and drawings to successfully manufacture and supply the parts for this system. NOTE: NO DRAWINGS, SPECIFICATIONS OR SCHEMATICS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THIS AGENCY!! The U.S. Coast Guard does NOT possess the data rights to the specifications, drawings and other technical data. The control algorithms are proprietary to Delta T Systems. The ventilation system and its components must conform to the exacting design requirements for form, fit, and function in order to mount in, connect to, and interface with the current systems onboard. This information is proprietary to Delta T Systems. It is the Government’s intention to solicit and negotiate only with Delta T Systems, or their authorized distributors. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to furnish the items are invited to submit complete and current information discussing their capabilities within 15 calendar days from the date this notice is posted. The following information must be provided and must include sufficient detail to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts: 1) complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts (i.e. salient physical functional characteristics or 2) data that offered parts have been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the original equipment manufacturer. No cost or pricing is required. This is not a solicitation or a Request for Proposals. This is a request for information only. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall not be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract as planned. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. For information regarding this acquisition, contact the Contracting officials listed herein. See Numbered Notes 12 and 22. *****
