Description
1. Robotics Systems. The Project Manager, Robotics Systems Joint Project Office (RS JPO) located at the United States Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command (LCMC) in Warren, Michigan is seeking to identify sources capable of manufacturing a MV-4B Mechanical Anti-Personnel Mine Clearing System. The MV-4B is a 7 ton tracked, combat engineer vehicle teleoperated light flail system, that can either neutralize antipersonnel (AP) mines by destroying or detonating them with its rotating flair head. The MV-4B can be teleoperated from within the blast protected Medium Mine Protected Vehicle (MMPV) or from a safe dismounted location. It will neutralize antipersonnel and antitank (AT) mine blasts. The MV-4B is capable of being sling loaded by joint and Army heavy rotary wing helicopters. The MV-4B will neutralize non-hardened, simple pressure mines in designated areas. The unmanned, teleoperated systems will keep Soldiers out of harms way by providing safe standoff distances. The hand held, stand off remote control feature of the system allows the operator to remain outside the range of exploding mines during the clearing process, while machines engine and vital components are protected by steel armor plates against mine explosion fragments. The MV-4B will neutralize antipersonnel land mines in marked areas. The MV-4B shall be a Commercial off the shelf (COTS)/Non-developmental Item (NDI) *Attachment 1 -The Performance Specification for the MV-4B Mechanical Anti-Personnel Mine Clearing System, may be requested from the Point of Contact. 2. Market Survey Request. This market survey seeks to determine industry capability to provide the MV-4B, including any appropriate technical manuals, sustainment and engineering support. If interested, furnish your detailed response and technical information questionnaire.
