Description
I. Purpose: To establish an Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for Furniture Design Services located at various Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sites, within the United States. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)). Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)) competing on this acquisition shall be in good standing with the Small Business Administration. Certification documents are required for award consideration. (NAICS 541420) Starting in FY 2008, the FAA will award a contract for the base year period with options for four (4) additional one (1)-year periods. The contract will be for Furniture Design Services, including, but not limited to, site visits, research and development of site-specific design layout, production of visual aides, and final design presentations II. Scope of Project: This project includes, but is not limited to: The Contractor shall be able to perform one or more of the following services: space planning; materials and finish selection; lighting; color palette development; inventory management; custom casework design; interior accents and furniture design, assembly, refurbishing and selection. The successful Contractor should expect to provide a range of deliverables such as: specification binders, color boards, analysis of furniture, work plans, cost estimates, typicals and floor plans. Individual task orders will be between $10,000 and $100,000. The total estimated potential value of the contract over the life of the contract shall not exceed $1,000,000. III. DOT Lending Program This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
