- Description
- The US Army Contracting Agency, Directorate of Contracting, US Military Academy, West Point, NY intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Phoenix Teledata Servies Inc., 370 Ranch Trail, Rockwall, TX 75032-5910. The contract is for the purpose of providing an upgrade of both hardware and software to a digital phone system which they provided and installed. The upgrade will include providing both eOn Communications and Digital Speech Systems equipment in the upgrade. As Phoenix Teledata Services Inc. provided and installed the original system, and the system is currently covered under a maintenance contract with them that covers options until September 2010, this requirement is being considered a sole source. Any attempt to modify the system by any other contractor would void the existing maintenance contract. This action will result in a Firm Fixed Priced contract for providing and installing the upgrade package. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no solicitation document. No RFP will be available for competitive proposals. Responses to this notice must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. eastern daylight time, 14 May 2008. Phone calls will not be accepted. The Government point of contact for this action is Kevin M. Niebuhr, Contract Specialist, at Kevin.M.Niebuhr@us.army.mil. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
