Description
The proposed contract action is for the non-personal service of Neonatal Testing for the Department of Pathology, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl-Kirchberg, Germany; the Department of Pathology, U.S. Army Hospital, Heidelberg, Germany; the U.S. Army Health Clinic, Grafenwoehr, Germany; and the U.S. Army Health Center, Vicenza, Italy. The USAMEDCOM Europe Regional Contracting Office intends to solicit this requirement as a competitive proposal in accordance with procedures outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, and Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures.Interested firms may identify their interest by contacting the designated point of contact below. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, a formal request for proposal will be posted at a later date. Information received from prospective offerors will be included on the source list maintained at the Europe Regional Contracting Office. The place of performance will be the awardee's clinical laboratory, with the services provided to the aforementioned facilities. The selected contractor must be geographically located to allow samples to be routinely shipped and received within 48 hours of dispatch. Period of Performance: 1 October 2008 30 September 2009 plus four (4) twelve month option periods. All prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration with the CCR may be accomplished using their website: www.ccr.gov, or by calling (888) 227-2423.PAPER COPIES OF THE ENSUING SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED NOR WILL TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS BE ACCEPTED; HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT PRECLUDE INTERESTED FIRMS FROM REQUESTING A SOLICITATION PACKAGE VIA EMAIL. All solicitation packages will be available electronically.
