- U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) has a requirement for a contractor to provide training for theater communications through the Army Central Command Signal University (ARCENT). The contractor shall be required to provide comprehensive commercial communications software and hardware training for soldiers deployed in the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). Location for performance will be the USARCENT Headquarters at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. This acquisition is conducted on a full and open competitive basis. The contractor shall be required to provide mobile training support to locations other than the primary. Those locations may include Iraq, Afghanistan, Somalia, Djibouti, Qatar, or Bahrain. Contractor personnel must be competent in the subject area with instructional experience, as well as be vendor certified on the most current version of the classes being taught. Contractor must have experienced personnel that can instruct the following courses, but not limited to the Promina course, Redcom, Fiber, Spectrum, Cisco, and Microsoft courses. This contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Priced IDIQ Contract with a Base period and four (4) option periods. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal. Requests for solicitation information will not receive a response. The Response Date Listed Above is for Archive Purposes only and is not the date in which offers are due. The Date offers are due will not be issued until the solicitation is issued. The estimated Solicitation issue date is 19 May 2008. This is an estimated date only and may be subject to change. This RFP will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5102(A) (7) and 14.205-1(C); therefore, hard copies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on are after the issue day by accessing the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at the following address via the internet: HTTPS://ACQUISITION.ARMY.MIL/ASFI/. Caution: This Solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidder's mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendment and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonesponsive and result in the rejection of same.
