- Description
- The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geosciences and Structures Division (GSD), intends to compete a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside requirement for a Scientific/Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) contractor to assist the government in the execution of assigned tasks in the following ERDC mission areas: Research, Development, Testing, Evaluation. The SETA contractor will assist in directing the overall research, full scale engineering development, technology transition/transfer/exploitation, and systems acquisition efforts to support the worldwide Army Civil Engineering mission. The SETA contractor will also conduct extensive research, engineering, training, evaluating, logistical, and manufacturing efforts in the following areas: Earthquake Engineering, Geophysics, Mobility of Vehicles, Engineering Geology, Excavation, Structural Demolition, and Obstacle Creation, Ammunition Storage Safety, Physical Simulation of Munition Phenomenology, Advanced Geophysical Sensors and Modeling, Projectile Penetration, Computational Structural Mechanics, Structures Research, Multispectral Camouflage Research, TeleEngineering Operations, and Countermine Phenomenology. This award will be made as an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract for which task orders may be issued. The anticipated period of performance will consist of one base year plus four option years. This procurement is set-aside 100% for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns only; under the NAICS Code 541712 and who meet the small business size standard of 500 Employees. All requirements, evaluation criteria, basis for contract award and proposal due date will be provided as part of the solicitation package. The solicitation will be issued on or about 19 May 2008 on the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hardcopies will not be available.
