Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.5 to Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI), of 60 Loveton Circle, Sparks, Maryland 21152. The contract will require JCI to provide the necessary supervision, labor, equipment and materials to provide routine maintenance and repairs on four (4) York 1000-ton Electric Chillers and one (1) 800-ton Absorber at the Social Security Administration's (SSA’s) National Computer Center (NCC) located at 6201 Security Boulevard, Woodlawn, Maryland 21235. JCI shall furnish all supervision, labor, parts, materials, tools, engineering, and equipment to maintain and repair the following equipment: •Three (3) 1000 ton, Electric Centrifugal chillers #- YKPEPBJ1-CZC (standard cooling units) •One (1) 976 ton, Electric Centrifugal chiller #-YKPEPBJ1-CZC (cooling unit geared for heat recovery) •One (1) 800 ton, Absorption Chiller #-YPCFD19GL46HSC This notice is for informational purposes only and is neither a request for quotation nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Interested parties that believe they are capable of providing these services can submit a capability statement to Contracting Officer, Deborah R. Wilson via email at Deborah.r.wilson@ssa.gov NLT 12:00 p.m. local standard time, Wednesday May 14, 2008. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources, but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely at the discretion of the Government.
