- Description
- This is NOT a solicitation. The Social Security Administration is performing market research to identify capable SMALL BUSINESSES to perform Warehouse Support Services at the Social Security Administration (SSA) Headquarters in Baltimore, MD and the SSA Preston Gateway warehouse in Hanover. MD. The contractor shall be ISO 9001:2000 certified in Warehousing and Distribution Management by the International Organization for Standardization and shall maintain ISO 9001:2000 certification throughout the life of the contract. The applicable NAICS code is 493110 and the size standard is $23.5 million. Warehouse Support Services include but are not limited to warehouse functions such as: Shipping/Receiving; Stacking/Storing; Loading and unloading trucks; Inventory; Picking; Distribution; General housekeeping; and Operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Based on historical data, it is anticipated that the contractor will be required to process approximately 100,000 to 130,000 line items during each co/ntract year. Additional historical workload data will be provided at time of solicitation. All parties capable of providing these services are invited to submit information that includes company name, address, contact name, and telephone number, capability statement, three (3) references for contracts of similar size, scope and complexity, ISO 9001:2000 certification documentation and any other pertinent data. Responses SHALL NOT exceed 10 pages. The Government does not intend to pay for information received and does not intend to provide evaluation results to the sender. Instead, the knowledge obtained from information submitted will be factored into subsequent procurement set-aside determinations and/or solicitation requirements. No award will be made based on this synopsis. The information received will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources. Requests for copies of a solicitation and/or telephone calls WILL NOT be honored or acknowledged. No cost or pricing data is required or requested.
