Description: This announcement is being prepared in accordance with FAR Part 5.201 and FAR Part 5.203(a)(1) and 5.203(b). This announcement is NOT the actual solicitation for this requirement. A full solicitation package outlining all requirements shall be issued on or about April 29, 2008. The Bureau of Land Management Alaska State Office, on behalf of the Bureau of Land Management, Alaska Fire Service, is soliciting for bulk building materials which will include miscellaneous lumber, wood trim, windows, doors and door jambs, fiberglass insulation, roofing felt, nails, plywood, drywall, and FRP materials. The requirement of the pending solicitation is that all materials listed be delivered to the Alaska Fire Service Warehouse facility on FT Wainwright Alaska, which is near the community of Fairbanks, Alaska by no later than May 21, 2008. This requirement shall ensure the materials will be loaded in a timely manner on a barge destined to FT Yukon Alaska prior to it's sailing. THIS IS A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE under NAICS Classification Code: 423390 with a small business size standard of 100 employees. The solicitation package for this announcement will be issued on or about April 29th, 2008. Interested parties claiming ability to provide for this requirement must contact the contracting officer below by no later than two (2) days prior to the closing date of the solicitation and request a full solicitation package. The closing date of the pending solicitation shall be May 6, 2008 at 2:00pm AKDST, with a required delivery date of all materials by no later than May 21, 2008 to the destination point outlined within the solicitation. Award will be based on lowest overall total price to provide all materials/items listed within the solicitation. Lowest overall total price shall include freight costs to FOB FT Wainwright, Alaska. See numbered notes 1 and 13.
