- Description
- The US Army RDECOM-ARDEC, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806, hereby issues asolicitation for contractor services in the form of cleaning and scanning approximately 1.5 million contaminated documents into an electronic format. The contaminated files (paper and aperture cards) will be converted to clear and readable PDF files and delivered as electronic files back to ARDEC on CD or other compatible electronic storage device. After electronic conversion, the contractor will destroy and dispose of the contaminated files. The contractor is responsible for retrieving the documents from the building located at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey. See attached report on condition of the building where the files are currently stored. Document conversion can take place on site or off site, our ultimate goal is for the electronic files to be readable and the paper files destroyed and disposed. The quotation should contain a brief description of work to be performed including a schedule, place of performance, and price. Site surveys will be arranged upon request. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested. The solicitation incorporates solicitation clauses and provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be available electronically for download at the following Internet address: http://procnet.pica.army.mil. Offerors shall submit their proposals electronically (Limit 10MB) via email to Jeremy Phillips at jeremy.phillips6@us.army.mil. Closing date for receipt of proposals is 1 PM EST, 30 May 2008.
