Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial/supply and service items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number AG-0109-S-08-0014 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text format at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 Employees. The North American Industry Classification Code is 321999. A quotation is requested to provide fifteen 10’ yellow cedar picnic tables to be assembled and delivered to the Kenai Lake Work Center, 29847 Seward Highway, Seward, AK 99664. Specifications are attached. Loads may not exceed 1,500 pounds to allow Forest Service to off-load at delivery location. The requested delivery date is 9/15/2008. The FAR provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offers submitted must include past performance information. Provide references for similar work during the past three years. Contract award will be made to the quoter offering the best value considering past performance, delivery and price; with past performance, delivery and when combined being more important than price. In addition, offerors must provide a completed copy of the FAR provision 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. FAR clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition and includes the following addenda to this clause incorporated in full or by reference. FAR 52.212-5 CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS REQUIRED TO IMPLEMENT STATUTES OR EXECUTIVE ORDERS- COMMERCIAL ITEMS (DEC 2007) (a) The Contractor shall comply with the following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses, which are incorporated in this contract by reference, to implement provisions of law or Executive orders applicable to acquisitions of commercial items: (1) 52.233-3, Protest after Award (Aug 1996) (31 U.S.C. 3553). (2) 52-233-4, Applicable Law for Breach of Contract Claim (OCT 2004) (Pub. L. 108-77, 108-78). (b) The Contractor shall comply with the FAR clauses in this paragraph (b) that the Contracting Officer has indicated as being incorporated in this contract by reference to implement provisions of law or Executive orders applicable to acquisitions of commercial items: 1 (5)(i) 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (June 2003) (15 U.S.C. 644). 1 (24)(i) 52.222-50, Combating Trafficking in Persons (Aug 2007) (Applies to all Contracts). 1 (35)52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration (Oct 2003) (31 U.S.C. 3332). Note 1 applies. Quotes must be received by 05 May 08, at 2:00 P.M. Alaska Time at the Alaska R10 Regional Office, Attn: AQM, Room 501D, Juneau, AK 99802-1628.
